Sam Vossen

Hi, I’m Sam Vossen, a junior Information Systems major at Elizabethtown College. I’m passionate about server management, cybersecurity, data systems, and science. I’ve built projects ranging from a 2D platformer built in Godot to a full personal home lab built on Proxmox.

Beyond the classroom, I've spend my time time reading, playing videos games, working out, and working on passion projects.

Despite my technical skills, my interests lie elsewhere. I'm pursuing field-deployed IT roles like data systems, infrastructure, and/or cybersecurity. I want to support environmental and ocean science, specifically organizations like NOAA, USGS, and ocean research institutions.

I want to be the data systems, infrastructure, and/or cybersecurity backbone of these missions in a real-world outdoors deployment.
